Mechanism of Action
Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. Its exact mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it is believed to inhibit polysynaptic reflex arcs involved in producing and maintaining skeletal muscle spasm, possibly by depressing transmission at the spinal cord level.
